International Students Inc. of Greensboro
Financial Partnership

The appeal of this ministry can be summed up in a single word - it's STRATEGIC. When we look for a cause to support with our finances, we all want our contribution's impact to reach as far it possibly can. ISI's financial partners help us to quickly and efficiently reach all around the globe with the love of Christ. Those students touched and convinced by Christ's love and Good News here will carry it back with them as ambassadors to their own families & communities, without the boundaries of visas, language and culture.

So, we have two simple questions for you:
  1. Do you think you would find JOY in giving a monthly, quarterly or annual gift to this ministry?
  2. If so, will you contact us to talk about becoming a financial partner?

Following are some common questions we get asked about financial partnership:

What kind of commitment is most helpful … monthly? Annual? One-time?
Of course, any gift helps. The monthly commitment is the most helpful to us (and often the easiest for you), since it’s easier that way for us both to match it to a monthly budget.

Is this commitment for life?
Most commitments are open-ended, with the realization that things can change in the future. Our plans are always subject to God’s interruptions, so if you simply indicate your desired level of giving for now, we can take it one day/month/year at a time from there together.

How much funding do you need?
Our primary expense is the staff who minister to students, as well as recruit, train, motivate and organize the many volunteers we need to succeed in our mission. Currently, we are planning for the City Director plus three other new staff members to reach optimum effectiveness. In short, there is much room right now for growth in financial backing.

How much should I give?
The Bible directs us to give joyfully. So the first question is whether you will find joy in giving to this ministry. The next question is how much of that joy you think you can realistically afford. Individual commitments commonly range from $10 to $500 per month. An average commitment from an individual is around $50/mo.

If I decide to give, how do I do it? And is it tax deductible?
There are several methods – all will be receipted and are tax deductible.
  1. By check. It should be written out to International Students Inc. Be sure to indicate the gift is for fund # 5847 (until or unless you're directed otherwise), which will direct the gift to the Greensboro city fund, rather than ISI national funds. Mail the check to: ISI, PO Box C, Colorado Springs, CO, 80901. Each gift will be promptly answered with a receipt and a tear-off to send with your next gift.
  2. By automatic bank draft. Contact us and we will send you what you need to set this up.
  3. By credit card. Just call 1-800-474-8326 during regular business hours. You can additionally request a regular monthly charge to your credit card.
  4. Using your bank’s “online bill pay” service. Use the same info as you would for sending a check - being sure to indicate fund # 5847.
