International Students Inc. of Greensboro
How Christian Students Can Help

Making Connections
With each new group of internationals who step off the plane at the airport, ISI faces the challenge of quickly connecting with them, and earning their trust. While there are several ways we are able to do this, one very important way is through personal referrals from Christian students on the various campuses in and around Greensboro. All it involves from the Christian student is an attentive ear to internationals on campus, and a basic knowledge of the services ISI provides.

Here's how it might look. You notice a student in your Chemistry class who looks or sounds like they are from another country, so you intentionally sit near them and say hello. After class, you ask them how they're adjusting to life in America. You discover that the student is searching for a decent, affordable apartment, but is struggling with where to look. You tell them you know of an organization that can help, and direct them to contact ISI (perhaps by giving them the phone number or email address). By this simple referral, you may have just made an eternal difference in that student's life, as well as countless others in their country of origin.

The Peer Advantage
ISI loves to have Christian students who can also volunteer in one or more of its ministry teams, since college students are greatly impacted by their peers. And what better time, or what easier way to enlarge your understanding of the world, and build lasting friendships that will literally stretch around the globe?
