How Christian Students Can Help
ISI staff and volunteers are not, of course, the only Christians who are befriending international students. Perhaps no one has more opportunity to do so than other students on their campuses. In many cases, such friendships and connections will come naturally. But whether you, as a student, have already made such connections, or desire to be more intentional about befriending internationals on your campus, there are a few ways the ISI team might be able to help and support you and your international friendships.
- We provide regular activities that you can attend to spend time with new or existing international friends. (See our student Web site for our schedule of activities.)
- We offer training in cross-cultural friendship through a wealth of experience and materials.
- We offer opportunities for internationals to explore Christian beliefs. You can invite or accompany your international friends to such meetings or presentations to assist you in discussing or explaining your faith to them.
- We have a page on our student site that is devoted to announcing opportunities for Christian internationals to fellowship together. If you're a part of such a fellowship, we can list your group on our student site to direct internationals to your group.
