International Students Inc. of Greensboro
Jesse Wesselink - City Director

Jesse and Shayna both grew up primarily in Roanoke, VA, where they met as teenagers in their church youth group. That was also where they decided to pursue "full-time" Christian service, and developed a love and respect for missions.

They were married before Jesse's junior year of studies at Cedarville College (now Cedarville University), a Christian liberal arts college near Dayton, OH. Two years later, Jesse graduated with a degree in Pre-Seminary and NT Greek.

In 1992, Jesse began his professional life as a teacher of Bible at a Christian high school in Kansas City, and later as a pastor of a "baptistic" non-denominational church outside Detroit, MI for two years.

For the next eight years until July 2004, Jesse worked in the field of Internet application development, as he and Shayna served in local churches and waited for God's direction for ministry. During this time, Shayna gave birth to Mikayla (1997), Chloe (2000), and Lawson (2002).

In 2002, Jesse was introduced to the strategic concept of ministry to international students who are studying in our colleges and universities. Then in July, 2004 God began to direct the Wesselinks into His plan for Jesse to join ISI full-time as the City Director in Greensboro, NC.

Jesse and his family moved to Greensboro in June of 2006, and are enjoying life and ministry in Greensboro. They are members of Covenant Fellowship ARP Church.

Debbie Egan

Debbie has been with ISI since October 1996. She and her husband, Bob, were volunteers before that, teaching a Bible study for a few years.

God led Debbie to go on staff after teaching at an intensive English language program for almost 8 years. Over the years, there have been many changes to the local ministry, but God has been faithful and has always provided what we needed at the time.

Debbie's family is involved with the ministry as well. Grace, Jared, and Peter enjoy getting to know students from all over the world.
